These terms govern the use of the official website of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in Burkina Faso. By using the website, you accept them.
Purpose of the website
The website gives general information about the Embassy, its consular services, the relations between Nigeria and Burkina Faso and travel to Nigeria. It does not take applications, requests or messages online: the procedures it describes are carried out with the Nigeria Immigration Service or with the Embassy, by the channels each procedure gives. Access to the public pages is free of charge.
Information for guidance
The information on this website is provided for general guidance. It does not replace the rules set by the Nigeria Immigration Service, the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs or other Nigerian authorities, nor the advice of the Embassy's consular officers. Requirements for visas, travel documents and the authentication of documents can change without notice. Always check the current requirements on the official portals or with the consular section before you travel or apply.
Applications
When you apply for a visa, a travel document or another service, you must give true, accurate and complete information and provide only documents that belong to you or that you are authorised to provide. False information or forged documents can lead to the refusal of your application and to action under the law. Each application is examined by the competent authority, which takes the final decision.
Nigerian visa applications are made on the official portals of the Nigeria Immigration Service, at visa.immigration.gov.ng and evisa.immigration.gov.ng. Be wary of websites that imitate these portals or offer to apply on your behalf.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use the website in a way that could damage it, interrupt its operation or compromise its security, not to try to gain access to parts of the website that are not public,.
Intellectual property
The content of the website is protected. Short extracts may be quoted for information or non-commercial purposes if the source is named. Any other reproduction requires the written permission of the Embassy. The national symbols of the Federal Republic of Nigeria may not be used in a way that suggests an official endorsement.
Links
Links to other websites are provided for convenience. They do not mean that the Embassy endorses those websites, and the Embassy is not responsible for their content.
Availability and liability
The Embassy makes reasonable efforts to keep the website available and accurate, but it cannot guarantee that the website will always be available or free of errors. The Embassy is not liable for loss or damage resulting from the use of the website or from reliance on its content, to the extent permitted by law. Nothing in these terms waives the privileges and immunities of the Federal Republic of Nigeria or of its diplomatic mission.
